CHF 149'964 for children in switzerland
At 10:30 on the morning of 26 October 2014, the starting signal was given for the 14th run4kids event at the basin of Lake Zurich. Waiting at the starting line were 1000 employees – mostly from the finance, IT and insurance sectors – all ready to make their own personal contribution to help children in Switzerland at this long-established charity run. They were even joined by celebrities such as Sarah Meier and Dominique Rinderknecht, who couldn’t help but do their bit by getting involved in the event. The proceeds of CHF 149,964 from the charity run went to three organisations dedicated to campaigning for children’s health and well-being in Switzerland.
Press release
Funded organisations 2014
For the first time in the history of the charity run, the proceeds were donated to three organisations dedicated to campaigning for children’s health and well-being in Switzerland. As the event organiser, half of the proceeds from the run were allocated to Cleven Foundation as funding for its fit4future project, a national preventative scheme benefitting some 130,000 school pupils in Switzerland. The remainder of the proceeds were donated to the Wunderlampe Foundation and Stiftung für Kinder in der Schweiz (Foundation for Children in Switzerland), both of which are committed to promoting the health and well-being of sick and needy children.
